Exit to the city
The exit is at the dead-end side of the platform.
About the station
The southern terminus of the Chilonzor line, opened in December 2020; it got the name «Chinor» («Plane tree») in 2023. Since March 2024 you can walk over an elevated passage to Qipchoq on the Circle line — but the transfer is paid, through the turnstiles.
The name
«Chinor» is Uzbek for the plane tree. In the project the station was called «Qipchoq» (it stands on Qipchoq Street), but that name later went to the neighbouring Circle line station. The current name was approved on 9 August 2023.
Design
A covered overground station with an island platform 102 m long. Unlike its neighbours, the three-lane escalator is in the south lobby and the lift on the north side. Since the 2026 reconstruction there are 13 turnstiles at the entrance instead of 6.
History
The station opened on 26 December 2020 as the southern terminus of the Chilonzor line. On 11 March 2024 the neighbouring Qipchoq station on the Circle line opened: to change, you leave one lobby and pay again to enter the other. From 13 June to 29 July 2026 Chinor was closed for reconstruction: the lobby was enlarged and capacity raised from about 15,000 to 35,000–40,000 passengers a day.
Fun fact
In 2024 the metro's press office said the paid transfer between Chinor and Qipchoq was not a temporary measure; after the 2026 reconstruction it remained paid.
